An imaginative watercolour interpretation of lavender with a bumble bee coming in to land!
The lavender in the garden is looking, and smelling fantastic at the moment. The garden is full of bees of every shape and size, it could be to do with the fact that I take the 'environmental' approach to gardening, ie leave lots of 'weeds' or as I prefer to call them 'wild flowers'!
At any rate, the garden is a wildlife haven and full of inspiration.
Painted on 200lb watercolour paper with intense cobalt blues, violet and mauves, touches of green and yellow for contrast.
Comes double mounted and framed in a lovely white washed wood frame.
Artists quality watercolour on Saunders Waterford 425 gsm NOT paper
