Original artwork description:

I'm fortunate to live in the South West France where these exotically coloured Bee Eaters are regular Summer visitors. They are shy birds but easy to locate and identify due to their vivid colouring and distinctive song. They are also extremely acrobatic in flight,as they search and catch Bees and any flying insects.
Being primarily a wildlife artist,I knew that one day they would become a subject for a painting,but it has taken me ten years to finally create a scene which does these beautiful birds justice.

Acrylic paint on 350grm heavyweight water colour paper.
