Nude Back_x000D_ _x000D_ Bedtime -Woman’s Back - Painting - Sunday Morning - 16x20 Canvas Board_x000D_ _x000D_ I am a professional artist based in London, UK._x000D_ _x000D_ My oil paintings are filled with emotion and have an underlying autobiographical theme to them._x000D_ _x000D_ I have a neurological sleep disorder, called narcolepsy, and because of this, I can frequently experience hypnogogic hallucinations; a phenomenon that occurs in the transition between wakefulness and dream sleep. This effectively means I dream and hallucinate while I am awake. While the condition is limiting in everyday life, it provides another dimension for creativity that I explore and document in my artwork. Images from my subconscious seem to appear on the canvas as I paint, and even reference material, from life or photographs, begin to distort and morph into something new. _x000D_ Because Paintings created using Hypnagogic Dream Intrusion is very rare. I am working with neurologists at Guys Hospital to clearer understand why this happens and I am talking with BBC producers about creating a documentary on hypnogogia and creativity._x000D_ _x000D_ This original artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and will be packaged and shipped using the best couriers I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
