Original artwork description:

A room in a Scottish castle, the lamps casting patches of light on ancient walls. A yellow chair, heavy curtains to protect against the cold. Outside snow has set in the dark woods that encroach on the garden. Inside all is still but for a ticking clock and the periodic crumbling of red hot coal in the grate. Patches of dark shadow gather. The work is peaceful, cosy, full of contrast. It makes a lovely addition to any collection and a great gift.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
