I painted this portrait of a lady here in Italy, in Quarantena because of the Coronavirus.... I miss being out in nature.
In this time when I cannot enjoy at the sea, I have to become the sea myself… so I create a meditative portrait, quite in a blue mood.
In this period I work on a combination of drawing and watercolor trying to explore the possibilities of these two techniques melt together, event if they are so diverse from each other.
The work is not meant to be a real portrait, but to express a certain emotional quality, in contact with the elementof water, with a certain melanchonia.
