Charcoal drawing of nude female.

One of my favourites this. A simple pose, but somehow I feel it works. The texture of her skin, the subtle variations, came out well on first-stroke. I'm always happy when I keep from overworking something. I feel the charcoal has an immediacy that can get lost.

My drawings are all done on high quality paper, treated with several layers of fixative to protect from smudging and fading. You can hang them directly on your wall, but framing is usually preferred.

I carefully package my work for international shipment. The drawings are rolled into cardboard tubes, which are rolled in corrugated cardboard, then placed in thick-walled cardboard boxes. (See photos of packaging in the “Me at work” section of my profile).
