Beauty Marks is a piece about skin damage due to too much sun exposure. Normally beauty marks on one's body is a symbol of distinction and individuality. But too much sun exposure and burnt skin can quickly turn a good thing bad.

The result is this abstract depiction of a person's back covered in beauty marks. The spiraling movement from each beauty mark indicates the unfortunate and unending effects from too much sun exposure.

The colours used are a reflection of burnt skin, while the beauty marks themselves are bright like the sun. Gold glass (smalti) is used throughout to further enforce the bronzing and brilliant effect of the sun.
