This study of a man is one of my very earliest pieces!

It contemplates what appears at first sight to be a beautiful portrayal of muscle form and masculinity. Yet I deliberately distorted the two arms. One to be shorter in areas than the other. It makes the piece a bit surreal but also ponders on whether seeking the perfect body results in beauty in everyone's eyes?

I was playing around with shape, shadow and distortion when creating the piece, which has a dark brown background.

The canvas is strung at the back ready for hanging.

Signed at the bottom right corner and dated 2011 ! which makes it a bit of a collectors piece for the serious investor in my work.
