'Beauty And Madness...' is an original drawing in inks and pencil and acrylics on hand stained paper measuring 170mm x 220mm in size.
This work takes a quote from the beautiful Marilyn Monroe.... 'Imperfection is beauty...madness is genius...' and adapts it to this delightful female drawing with fruits and birds in her hair...
As I was working on this piece I was researching Gaudi architecture for a visit to Barcelona I plan soon and the gorgeous designs I was looking at have been transferred ever so subtly into the work with her hair lending itself well to similar shapes and design.

She has some warm copper acrylic highlights finishing off the delicate pattern which show up gloriously in real life...these copper highlights are not quite so noticeable in an online scan unfortunately... so prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the original work in the flesh!
