Eternal still life signed January 2, 2024 / acrylic painting on canvas / 66 x 86 cm / framed and varnished / Available
I could feel the velvet of the petals of a dark burgundy red caressing my palm and the old ceramic vessel hiding its shape in a mixture of flaws in the colored glaze. That time seemed eternal, and the green of the leaves with sharp edges flickered in reflections of purple and rust, and slowly it was as if I was overcome by a torpor of sleep, where I was flying in a flap of a butterfly's wings, lost in the evening light. I sat quietly next to the rose in the flower pot, took a deep breath and began to feel the heat of the endless summer.
