Original artwork description:

Over the years, my painting style has evolved from a more representational approach to one that embraces abstraction and emotional expression. I’ve become increasingly focused on how to convey the essence of a scene through color, movement, and composition rather than depicting it exactly as it appears. Recently, I’ve experimented with more vibrant, contrasting colors and looser brushstrokes to capture the dynamism and energy of nature.

In this new painting, for example, I’ve shifted towards an even more expressive style, using large, sweeping strokes of green and purple to emphasize the lushness of the landscape. The delicate flowers, rendered in bright pinks and purples, provide a sense of softness and joy, while the abstract layering of colors in the water and sky creates depth and movement. This evolution in my technique reflects a desire to balance realism with a more lyrical, poetic interpretation of nature, inviting the viewer to feel the vibrancy and beauty of the moment.

My materials have also shifted towards a mix of thicker acrylics and layered textures to achieve this sense of depth and fluidity, allowing me to explore how abstract forms can evoke both the visual and emotional qualities of the natural world.
