This is a painting that focuses on an early Spring time, where camellia flowers are blooming, and amongst these blossoms a crested myna bird is looking curiously at bees busy at work. This is a painting that brings us comfort and relaxation, it takes us to a world of child-like state, where everything is hopeful and full of wonders.

Gongbi style of painting has its unique status in the world, having prosperous for over 2,000 years, it is elegant and peaceful, it whispers happiness to our ears.

Signature: the top states the title of the artwork, which is "萬紫千紅" written in the cursive Chinese calligraphy style, taken from a fragment of a poem, meaning "ten thousand purples and one thousand red", referring to the beginning of Spring, when flowers are blooming.
