Beautiful Evolution is a highly original semi abstract oil painting of a peacock evolving against a partially formed autumn landscape. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The peacock in not completely obvious at first as he is blending well into the vortex of autumn colours of the landscape behind him (a real one near where I live). He is painted in vibrant colours and is looking back at us with mild imperiousness. He is in the process of materializing or maybe disappearing into a new universe. The colours and shapes of the landscape become more fragmented towards the edges of canvas. Some of the shapes are pure abstract and some ore traditionally painted as I like the contrast of that. The background is lilac blue, and because I have built up many layers of paint, the rainbow colours reflect differently throughout the day. The ‘meaning’ of the painting is something I am happy to leave to the viewer. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang and frame not needed. Comes with gifts and certificate of authenticity from the artist.
