Original artwork description:

I painted this landscape painting from a beautiful photo taken in the Teton Mountain Range. The day was very bright and sunny with a nice pattern of shadow and light. The colors were very vivid and saturated. There was still plenty of snow on the ground to contrast with the mountains and the dark trees. When you look at my oil landscape painting I hope that you feel like you are hiking along the foreground trail. Be careful because the trail still has quite a bit of snow on it and could be slippery. It was Spring as you can tell from the chill in the air and some of the light green tree foliage. I created this painting of the landscape using high quality oil paint on a gessoed board. I have framed it iwith an espresso colored wooden frame that has warm undertones and a gold fillet. Beautiful Day in the Mountains is completely ready to hang on your wall.
