"Bear" is one of the paintings in my Animal Spirits series. Each of the paintings are inspired by a symbolic meaning of the animal.

In this painting I tried to capture the power of the Earth this animal carries.

Bear is a symbol strength and power. Being closely connected to the Earth, it symbolizes grounding force and it's image helps us when we feel a need for meditation and grounding. It is believed that Bears have healing powers (bear medicine). This wise animal knows plant powers.
A Bear is a fierce warrior and a gentle mother.
It needs time in solitude. It obeys nature's cycles and hibernates throughout the winter in order to be symbolically reborn in spring.
