Original artwork description:

A gouache painting of a derelict fishing boat on Dungeness beach beneath an ominous and cloudless sky. It is executed on 300gsm, hot pressed, watercolour paper and is drawn in a realistic, Retro, style, is titled 'Beached but not Forgotten....Dungeness ‘ is signed on the back, is unmounted and unframed.
This gouache painting was worked up from sketches I made when I was privileged to accompany my wife to stay for a few days at Prospect Cottage in Dungeness, home of the late Derek Jarman.
The boat wrecks at Dungeness always intrigue and inspire, abandoned as they are to the elements now that they are no longer in use but all of them have been preserved for posterity in their present state for future generations.
