Original artwork description:

A beautiful, poignant painting to remind you every day of the sights and sounds of the beach and sea, of those long walks hunting for fossils or special stones.

Painted in monochrome this large statement piece would look great in any room. But if you display it in a main living area you would be able to keep your guests guessing as it has secrets to discover. Hidden amongst the rocks is a fossilised mammoth tooth, and a tiny bottle top. Inspiration came from childhood memories of my grandfather and sister finding a fossil like this. During the process of making this artwork it also made me question what evidence we will leave behind for future generations hence the addition of the tiny piece of plastic. Makes you think doesn't it.

This is a large artwork painted in acrylic created using different paint techniques and tools including a roller and feathers to create the abstract patterns on the rocks. This work is completed on a Loxley gallery wrapped canvas, with painted borders so does not require framing unless preferred. (please contact me via Art finder to discuss requirements) It is signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
