Original artwork description:

I created this original acrylic painting on canvas from a series of photographs I shot of my African-American friend Rod on Oahu's Diamond Head Beach at dawn, when it was mostly deserted. I used a loose, gestural style with lots of energetic brushwork designed to suggest detail rather than reproduce it photographically. This original acrylic is on unstretched canvas and the image area measures approximately 23x36 in. (58x91cm).

PLEASE NOTE: This artwork is on unstretched canvas and will be shipped rolled in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Take it to your framer just as you would a stretched canvas; stretching a canvas prior to framing is a standard service at any good frame shop.
