Original artwork description:
Beach House 25 and Pur are the names of the two beach cafés in the painting. They are on the North Sea coast of Zeeland in the Netherlands. I have a studio there and so I often paint seascapes in Zeeland. The painting shows the scene in winter as a change from all those summer beach paintings. I think it´s particularly nice to walk along this part of the beach in winter when it is quiet and the sea is rough and to visit one of the cafés for a hot drink and a bite to eat!
