The first oil painting done by Leo Baxiner in 2022 he decided to make positive, yet romantic. His favorite motive of sea, sky and sailing-ships has proved to be the best for that goal.

There are two boats next to each other moored at the bay, in a large body of water, with a beautiful town visible at a distance. The town is a small heaven sitting between a sea and some picturesque mountains, yet about all the life bristling in there we can only guess, as we are preparing to leave it along with the artist and the crew of his two vessels, to travel away into an endless blue calm, surrounded by the sound of water, even if for a little while. The clouds in the sky are moving, yet the water far below them is calm and seems to encourage our little voyage.

Soon the sails will be up, and we shall glide away, - but not yet. For now, we can just sit, relax and embrace light, blue-and-white mood conveyed by a regal, refined texture of oil paints. Within the comfort of our own interiors, we can ponder on the things to come, on the deeds that we shall do, and with calm confidence make the right decisions, inspired by the simple, yet deep painting before us, around us, inside us. And then come back from our little trip into its world, in an instant, and continue living – with new horizons waiting for us.
