A limited edition linocut print, made by hand in my studio. The edition is of 20 prints. Printed onto Fabriano Tiepolo (290gsm) paper, and signed, numbered and titled by hand. The actual image size is 33x23cm and each print is presented in a professionally cut, conservation standard mount to fit a standard sized 50x40cm frame. The lowest number available from this edition will be selected for customers ordering this print.
Living to the west of London I see Battersea every time I journey into or across the city, whether by car, train or even plane. To me it's always been a true London icon and I love it for that. Built in 1933, and designed by the same chap who also designed our old red phone boxes (also now decommissioned) it is the largest brick structure in Europe. Decommissioned over 20 years ago its use has evolved and is constantly being developed into something more appropriate for contemporary times. It is now the flagship development of the Nine Elms regeneration: a combination of 20 separate projects covering 560 acres.
It makes sense for me to always have a Battersea print in my portfolio and this is printed from the same blocks as my previously available blue and red one edition which is now sold out.
