To realise this oil painting I first made sketches and watercolours in-situ in Antibes in september 2015. I painted the sunlit Antibes remparts with the mountains in the background and other watercolours and sketches of happy bathers playing in the water. Then I used the lot to make this composition: a happy holiday scene on the French riviera. I painted it in successive glazes for several months, a technique which gives depth and luminosity. This work is framed (see last photos) and sold with a certificate of authenticity and dispatched carefully packaged in a strong cardboard box, sent with a tracked courier, insured to the value of the artwork.
