Original artwork description:

An atmospheric painting of The Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth. This painting was inspired by a journey south very early on a summer morning when daybreak appeared to create a beautiful violet light over the calm sea, accentuated by the mist rolling across to the Fife coast. Viewed from the mainland this tiny island in the Firth of Forth appears to have a white surface due the large colony of gannets (and their droppings!) who inhabit it during the summer months.”

Materials used:

Acrylic paint
