Original artwork description:

I was inspired to paint these fishing boats because the sun was setting and they were aglow in beautiful warm light. They were docked outside a restaurant we ate in Bass Harbor, Maine. I love boats and I am especially attracted to fishing boats and enjoy painting them. Something else I am greatly attracted to is reflections in water and enjoy the challenge that painting them provides. My style is to paint loosely so that there is some mystery in the painting. What is that object here, the one over there and so on. I have framed this painting in a dark wooden frame with warm undertones and a gold fillet. It is completely ready to hang on your wall.
