It is very common to find stray cows in the streets, particularly in cities and towns in Northern India. I encountered this scene in Udaipur, a very popular tourist destination in Rajasthan. I liked the strong shadow of the cow on the blue shutter. The blue was in good contrast against the white skin of the cow. It seemed as though the cow was waiting for the store to open!
This is painted on a 300 gsm Arches Cold-pressed watercolour paper using artist-grade watercolour paints.
Signed and accompanied by an authenticity certificate.
