My collection ' Baroque ' Is a still life mixed media collage and acrylic representing the grandeur of the Victorian and baroque interiors with use of rich colour and texture. Elements like the ,gilded mirror, chandelier, console tables, carved gilded frames, fire place, Baroque furniture represent the same. The lit up backdrop space in most of the paintings give the illusion of depth. I have tried to experiment with different mediums like printed, textured, coloured and metallic paper which I usually use for the base collage . Other mediums like oil pastels, acrylics with techniques like block printing , palette knife and colour washes are used to complete the surface treatments . I personally love the jewel tones, texture and the imperfections in this collection.
