For anyone who has been to the “Marche Des Fleurs”at the edge of the Old Town in Nice, France, you know what I’m talking about here. I’ve done so much time walking the aisles of this market over my many years living in France, and it’s a favorite Subject of mine.

For years I’ve been toying with the idea of adding some textiles to compliment the cut up bits of Paper Sketches I’ve lately been collaging into my paintings. In this piece, the addition of yarn, coiled into Flowers and Leaves, adds some interesting dimension. This journey, or process, was surprising and fun, and I’m encouraged by the Result. This Canvas is painted around the edges so it can be hung, unframed.
