Original artwork description:

During the summer I often go on holiday in Liguria and I am always captivated by this magical land between the sea and the mountains. In this painting I wanted to convey the magic and warmth of this land. I wanted to paint with total freedom by putting the color from the tube directly onto the sheet with the use of a palette knife, then I used a large brush (hake) with water to spread and mix the colors in order to obtain interesting blends of color and texture. I would like the observer to perceive the beauty and magic hidden in these lonely boats in the sun.

I am particularly attached to this framework because I obtained the "Top 200 merit award" certificate in December 2021 after having participated in the competition set up by the IWM International Watercolor Masters. This recognition is particularly special in the face of 3725 participants from all over the world and in consideration of the jury made up of 20 of the most appreciated international watercolor masters.
