This Oil Pastel on Black Paper drawing is one of two done from life in the very beautiful location of Nusa Dua, Bali. It is an expressive night-time view of a beautifully mystical Banyan Tree with it’s many branches and roots hanging into a small pond. I really like these trees and their free-flowing branches and roots and this particular one being situated next to a pond had the added bonus of the reflections in the water and the occasional fish. I really enjoyed the challenge of trying to quickly capture the different colours and shapes of the ever-changing night-time reflections. It was drawn “en plein air” on a warm humid night and I really liked the different colours and reflections that the night-time brought to the scene.

Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
