The print depicts the feature known as the Banqueting Hall, on the Hill of Tara (also known as the Hill of the Kings). The Banqueting Hall is a long, narrow rectangular passageway on the North side of the Hill, and is aligned with the Neolithic Passage Tomb known as the Mound of the Hostages, further to the South side of the hill.
In the centre of the view is St Patrick's Church, nestling amongst the beech trees. The Church is now decommissioned, and is used for audio/video presentations for tourists to the Hill of Tara (Summer only).
