Part of a collection of work exploring and celebrating the colours, textures and shapes to be found in the tunnels of the London Underground.
By careful selection of perspectives and viewpoints (and by removing almost all of the people), Rebecca is able to take ordinary scenes and reveal their underlying qualities, which so often go unnoticed.
In this piece, Rebecca brings to life the shabby tiled surfaces of Bank station's Waterloo & City line platforms - revealing the hidden beauty to be found in the shadows, lines and reflections of this heavily used space. This view through one of the passageways between the platforms creates an interesting intersection of geometries, which seems to verge on the abstract.
