Artificial intellect, genetic engineering, are we sure we know what we are doing? Are we clever enough to deal with potential consequences? The more we ask ourselves such questions, the higher chances are that such surrealistic landscapes, as depicted in this statement artwork, will forever remain just a fantasy of the artist.

There is no doubt that science and technologies make our life more comfortable and easier. But in the wrong hands, they also make it easier to destroy everything around us, the world we live in, at least the way it is today. “Bang!” is a series of surrealistic and semi abstract oil paintings by Olena Shtepura where she expresses her vision of a post-apocalyptic world.
