The latest in my series of pop art food paintings is a depiction of the retro classic dessert, the banana split. So that's a whole banana with three scoops of ice cream sat in the middle, covered in cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, chopped nuts, and a cherry.

I love painting food in a graphic, pop art way so that the items become abstract and pattern-like. The end result is a bold, bright, and original painting that would brighten up any home, or be the perfect gift for anyone with a sweet tooth! Imagine how it would look in your kitchen.

It is painted in acrylics on thick high quality A4 paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame for display purposes. So the third picture best represents what you'll be buying.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.

Postage will be first class in a cardboard envelope and the painting will be wrapped in plastic.
