I used to like to take part in what's known as Mail Art, where some would challenge the postal service by sending unconventional mail. All manner of things have been posted without packaging, so long as it had the correct postage it could well make it. My participation was the safer route enclosed in envelopes.
When I came across this picture of a banana with stamps I was reminded of a famous mail artist called Anna Banana.

Because of the size of this piece I was unable to scan as I usually might, so the image is as accurate as I can produce from a photo. The collage pieces used in this are between 50 and 70 years old so there is a slight noise that you get from imagery of that era, which of course is one of the reasons why I love working with old ephemera.

For extra stability I've mounted the finished collage onto thick acid free black paper.
It won't fit a standard frame without adding a mount to allow for a square frame of your choice.

Receive this sandwiched between several layers of double walled cardboard for a safe journey. Tracking included.
