This is another of my ballet series, in which I'm playing with texture, movement and shape. These smaller works take a dozen or so hours. Although they are complete works I might create larger paintings later on on the same pose.

This painting is the a series of works created as a collaborative effort; the dancer is based on the wonderful photography of Chris Peddecord. With his kind permission I created this painting from his series of photos of the ballerina Elizabeth Martineau.
