Original artwork description:

Butterflies is a painting of a young budding ballerina waiting to go on stage for the first time.... the viewer, especially if he/she has been in the same situation, may experience a resonating feeling of the nerves and excitement she feels. The name butterflies of course relates to the butterfly feeling you have in your tummy before going on stage, or indeed partaking in anything that pushes ones boundaries. As an ex dancer I know the feeling well and know there really is nothing quite like it! I feel it very time I look at the painting and hope you do too.

The painting is painted on heavy duty moulin du roy watercolour paper and is framed in a solid wooden frame with a distressed silver paint. The 5cm mount matches the colour of the paper and protects the paper from discolouration from the glass. The painting is ready to hang.

(Please note the final image in the home interior is a simulated photograph and does not represent the actual frame, all the other photographs display the correct frame).

Materials used:

watercolour on 100% cotton paper
