About artwork.
This contemporary sculpture is made of the found Soviet-era porcelain figure of Seated Ballerina, Glitter, and Plastic piggies glued with Epoxy Resin.
In 2017, in front of the Rockefeller Centre in New York, 13-meter inflatable ballerina by Jeff Koons was installed. The prototype of this artwork was a Soviet porcelain figurine by Ukrainian artist Oksana Zhnykrup.
Having found several original porcelain figures, Oleksandr decided to refine them, thereby to experiment with the content of the classic categories of the beautiful and the ugly, with the superficial aestheticism and ornamentality, and, thereby, make the piece not so unequivocal, add new levels of meaning to the kitschy object.

PLEASE NOTE The buyer will be responsible for paying international customs fees, determined by the country the artwork is being shipped to. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase.
