Original artwork description:

Expressionist portrait head of young black male in baseball cap. I don't know why it is, but when I change the angles of the face, use unpredictable colors, and move the features around to where they don't "belong", I'm often able to find an expressiveness in the face that doesn't necessarily happen with a straightforwardly representational approach.

The painting is on unstretched canvas and image area measures approximately 22.5x30 in. / 57x76 cm.

PLEASE NOTE: This artwork is on unstretched canvas and will be shipped rolled in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Take it to your framer just as you would a stretched canvas; stretching a canvas prior to framing is a standard service at any good frame shop.
