Original artwork description:

Lines, triangles, circles, squares, rectangles -- geometric elements -- arranged in patterns that balance and reverberate to create a whole that is as interesting as it is aesthetically pleasing. An extension of hard-edge abstraction as practiced in the 20th century (from aspects of Cubism and forward to colorfield, minimal, cool, and post-painterly), my work carries that tradition forward. My subject is color and line, and the tensions that arise through the juxtapositions created by abrupt transitions between pattern areas. I paint with acrylic gouache which is matte and luminous in a way that is devoid of brushstrokes. Signed in verso and ready to hang.
