Original artwork description:

Sometimes a title calls me even before the artwork takes shape in my mind: this is what happened with this painting. I was walking along the hiking paths above Gressoney in a less snowy than usual December until I arrived at the Walser village of Alpenzu' Grande: in that moment the words ‘chalets with a view' came to my mind, and I immediately thought that they were perfect for giving a slightly ironic touch to a painting on the topic of the exploitation of natural resources for tourism purposes.

This canvas was born more than a year later that hike. It represents a fantasy scene in which the magnificent Hobelté huts - where last summer I had a magnificent art and life experience - overlook a winter Dolomite panorama: summer and winter together, so that the tourist is offered everything and everything together. There is also a swimming pool, proof of luxury and comfort always and everywhere, in which however a forgotten mannequin barely floats.
