This painting was completed en Plein air, it is a fresh & loose style with heavily textured paint.
I walked past the tree on Sunday morning and the orange tone of the rocks inspired me to go back & paint it later that day.
The painting was completed just before dusk with the light tones of the winter sun reflecting on the tree.
