The hills and coast of ancient Wales are a never-ending inspiration! This abstract stained-glass painting started life as a quick sketch of the undulating but rugged hills that lie between my studio and Cardigan Bay (Bae Ceredigion) far beyond. It’s an abstract digital work in acrylic inks, overworked in pen and ink by me over many stages - first an abstract drawing, printed then embellished in ink, and all re-imagined in stained glass. It sparkles!
My studios are in woodland - an ancient ash coppice wood near the Welsh border, once destroyed by war but now the home to oak, pine, hawthorn and larch - the inspiration for much of my painting.
It's on canvas, professionally stretched, on a strong wooden frame, and is ready to hang in your home of office.
