Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200lb.
Loose wet on wet washes for the background were applied and I used a sable hair brush. An anticlockwise and clockwise brushstroke technique was applied for the summer trees. I pressed the paint on for the poppies, seed heads and I used my nail to etch out the paint for the grasses.
