Most of the churches in Chernigov are Orthodox. But it so happens that I live near a Catholic cathedral and therefore it often gets on my canvases. The cathedral was built during the times of independent Ukraine. It should be noted that it fits well into the surrounding landscape and looks good from different angles. And one more remark concerning the cathedral - since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the cathedral has been used as a bomb shelter. Now we have regular air raid alarms and at that time children from the kindergarten located nearby are taken to this cathedral for shelter. That's the way things are. Such circumstances accompany the appearance of the paintings.
