Original artwork description:

I started this piece with an underpainting using acrylic inks, this is because I wanted some really bright warm fiery light to come through after I carefully depicted the lady in oil paint. I always use brown and French blue mixed together as my substitute black because I think it has far more depth and is much more versatile.
