This little study of a profile portrait of a young woman with dark hair is all about how to create that dreamy feeling when the light is almost blinding us from behind the model.

Especially during sunset,
all of a sudden the black hair seem to glow with golden rays, people seem to get a halo.
Life just sparkles with joy!

So this is me figuring out how to tell you my tale.
To practice, I used a far more figurative style and enjoyed leaving the woodpanel underneath visible.

The painting is framed in an elegant boxframe and has wire attached, so it's ready to hang (or stand) soon as you've unboxed it.
