This is a small sketch of a female nude from the back. I used oil paint, acrylic in other areas and pastel to create a texture and left the figure against a black background for contrast.
I enjoy painting nudes - male and female - because the human body has a vulnerability about it which can be touching.
Materials used:
Oil paint, with some impasto. Acrylic in parts and pastel.
