This is part of my workout, figure exercises. In this case I used the models provided by Croquis Café, you can find on instagram and Vimeo. It’s a lovely site for figure study, and yes I donate to them when I can. That’s me in the photo sketching from model poses on Croquis Café.
Sketching is my daily exercise. It keeps that part of my brain sharp. I often work these sketches fast and furious. Often lines are rough and scratchy, but I do capture a unique mood. And this is what I am presenting.
Slowly I am reaching into my trunk full of sketches, organizing them, getting the photo, uploading, and reworking some into paintings and some digital works. My signature for most of my sketches is my ‘G’ … and I try to remember to put the date…
