“Back of Woman in Abstraction,” is an exploration of form and color, where the subject is distilled to essence and emotion. Rendered on a 30x30 inch panel, the oil paints converse with the texture of the surface to unfold the narrative of the human figure through abstraction. It’s a dance of opacity and transparency, where the strokes are guided by the natural contours of the body. The artwork doesn’t just represent a figure; it’s a landscape of human experience, inviting contemplation on the fluidity of our corporeal and emotional selves. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
