Original artwork description:

From when I was living in Chapel Amble (Cornwall), looking out from the lane (and our back garden gate) towards the 'village'. It has changed a bit now of course but still essentially the same, the Maltsters Arms is to the left.

It was when I was beginning to work with knifed thick unmixed or semi-mixed paint on a good coarse canvas (from the famous art suppliers Robersons in London, sadly no longer in existence) which I don't seem able to get any more. See also 'Chapel Amble from David's House'.

Materials used:

Spectrum oil paint, knives, sticks, paste medium.
